About

I draw ordinary things in ink and watercolour. A door left open. A pot kept running. Bread torn for six. The plates are numbered, and the numbers are not the order I post them in. That is on purpose, and it is the only hint you get.

My favorite thing as a child was listening to stories about my babu and dedu and I learned my love of folklore from my family. As an artist I think about what stands for those feelings of being lost inside of a tale, the small symbol a person can carry with them. Something to hold on to when the world feels a little further and further from home.

Everything in the shop is drawn by my hand on a tablet, in ink and watercolour, and the stickers are designed thoughtfully one at a time. Some things are only made in their season. When a season ends, its pack goes with it. Some individuals will stay, the plates.

The shop is new, and what it earns is going toward my schooling and supports my community wellbeing. Thank you for being here early.

If you want to know when a season opens, the list is short and quiet. Four or five letters a year.

The kettle is usually on. We've set a place.
